Construction is one of the branches of material production, the development of which depends on the development of other branches of production, as well as the material well-being of people. The development of the construction industry is influenced by the correct organization of it, the management system, technical equipment, qualification and stability of personnel and other factors.

In large cities, construction is conducted by the main construction authorities, corporations or holding companies that are established under city councils (city administrations), which manage construction through territorial general construction and special construction trusts and authorities. In fig. 1 presents a simplified scheme of the State Municipal Construction Corporation "Kievgorstroy", which gives an idea of the subordination of various construction organizations. All trusts of this company are joint-stock associations.
