It ranks third in gross public product and occupies about 17% of all workers in material production. In the construction process, 25% of all industrial production used in the field of material production, about 20% of rolled ferrous metals, more than 30% of wood and products of the glass industry are used annually. Construction materials make up a fifth of freight transportation by rail.
